Redundancy First Aid – Online Seminar – 9th Jan 2026

Happy New Year All.
I am reposting this and urging that you forward this onto to anyone who needs a helping hand…
For the first two weeks of January, until Friday 16th Jan., I will run these sessions free of charge.
Meetings are 9.00 on Monday and 16.00 on Friday. Lets give those who are struggling with redundancy a boost!!!
There’s a moment after redundancy where everything goes quiet.
The meetings stop.
Your inbox goes still.
And suddenly the loudest thing in your day is your own inner voice.
I’ve felt that silence twice in my career.
It’s disorientating.
Your confidence doesn’t just dip — it shifts.
You start asking questions you never thought you’d ask:
“Who am I now?”
“Where do I fit?”
“How do I start again?”
And I’ve seen that same silence in others — vividly.
In 1997, I had to make 27 people redundant.
I can still picture their expressions: shock, disbelief, bravery.
Those conversations stay with you for life.
What all of this taught me is simple:
People need connection when the ground shifts beneath them.
Support, structure and encouragement matter more than ever.
No one should have to navigate transition alone.
That belief is why I’m exploring a new idea.
⸻
A peer support group for mid-career professionals (35+, middle management and above) navigating redundancy or transition
A place to:
• rebuild confidence
• stay motivated
• share challenges safely
• regain direction and purpose
• move into meaningful work faster
This isn’t for entrepreneurs or start-ups.
It’s for people who want to return to paid employment — permanent, interim or contract — and want the structure, community and accountability to help them get there.
⸻
The format (online, human, structured):
Monday 09:00 — Start the week grounded and focused
Mindset • clarity • intention
Friday 16:00 — End the week supported and accountable
Progress • reflection • momentum
Each session includes:
• a short, practical insight (networking, interviews, LinkedIn, CVs, mindset, confidence)
• a “hotseat” where members bring real challenges and receive supportive, constructive input from others — facilitated, confidential, and respectful
It’s a space for courage, not competition.
For rebuilding, not judging.
For connection, not isolation.
⸻
Pricing (initial thinking):
£40/month — first session free.
Attend as often as you wish.
Cancel anytime.
